Anuppur, Mr. Superintendent of Police, Mr. Motiur Rahman, Superintendent of Police, Anuppur was directed to solve old unsolved murder cases and meaningful instructions have been given for finding the address, in compliance of which, Bijuri Police has arrested the accused who was absconding for 04 years in a murder case today on 13/11/24.

The brief description of the case is as follows that in the intervening night of 29-30/11/2021, near Meat Market Bijuri in front of Saraswati School, an unknown person murdered Surendra Bahadur Rai alias Darbari resident Khongapani BCM Chowki Khongapani Police Station Jhagrakhand, on which Crime No. 350/21 Section 302 was registered in Police Station Bijuri and investigation was taken up. In the investigation of the case, Sabir Ali, son of Mohd. It was revealed that the deceased was murdered by Hadis resident Alinagar police station Bijuri due to a dispute over old transactions. The accused was absconding since the date of the incident. The reward amount announced for finding the accused was Rs. 30000 (thirty thousand) by Additional Director General of Police DC Sagar, Shahdol. An advertisement was issued in relation to this and circulated in the police stations of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh. All the station in-charges of the border police stations of Anuppur district were personally contacted and information was given about the said absconding accused. Information was received from Dongargarh (CG) that an accused of theft Surendra Vishwakarma, son of Vinay Vishwakarma, age 32 years, resident of Bilaspur has been found in Dongargarh, whose appearance and face match with the absconding accused Sabir of the case. On verification, it was found that the absconding accused of the case, Sabir Ali, son of Mohd. Hadis, resident of Alinagar police station Bijuri, was absconding in Raipur by using the above mentioned name. On information from Dongargarh police station, on 12/11/24, accused Sabir Ali was brought to Bijuri police station on warrant from Dongargarh sub-jail, who has confessed his crime during interrogation. The accused is being arrested and sent to honorable court. It is noteworthy that there are more than 11 crimes of theft, robbery, house breaking against the accused. The accused has already gone to jail in a case of theft in Durg (CG) under his pseudonym Surendra Vishwakarma.
