Satna, Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has today said in a shocking statement that the sweet prasad being sold by Amazon India in the name of 'Shri Ram Mandir Ayodhya Prasad' on its e-commerce platform is purely for the benefit of the people of the country. There is a big fraud and the religious sentiments of the people are being played with.

CAT's National President Shri BC Bhartia and National General Secretary Shri Praveen Khandelwal today sent a letter to Union Commerce Minister Shri Piyush Goyal, drawing his attention towards this fraud and said that it is well known that no one has taken any money from Shri Ram Temple of Ayodhya Dham. The Prasad is not being distributed but “Shri Ram Mandir Ayodhya Prasad” is being sold openly on the e-commerce platform of Amazon in the name of a seller. The way the description has been written is giving a message that this prasad is from Shri Ram temple only. He said that at a time when the whole country is celebrating Ram and people are engaged in the work of Shri Ram with utmost devotion, this type of act by Amazon is very nefarious and a huge fraud.

CAT State President Bhupendra Jain said that the Consumer Complaints and Protection Authority (CCPA) of the Consumer Ministry should take immediate action in this regard and Amazon's e-marketplace should be banned until the investigation is completed.
