Satna, After the death of Mahant Jankidas of Shri Ram Harshan Kunj, a temple associated with the Digambar Akhara located near Ramayani Kuti in Satna, Chitrakoot, a new Mahant is being appointed here today by the Virakta Sant Mandal. According to reliable sources, the post of Mahant is being given to a saint who is a householder, whereas a detached saint is one who is free from the householder life and is free from family responsibilities, only he should be made the Mahant of Shri Ram Harshan Kunj, but the saints who are becoming the Mahant here have raised questions on the tradition of a detached saint/sadhu, it is noteworthy that it was not considered appropriate to make the Mahant of Shri Ram Harshan Kunj who is already appointed as the priest there, rather a householder saint living in Ramayani Kuti is being made the Mahant, going against the detached tradition, due to which there is anger among the other saints.
