The police of the Khargone district of Madhya Pradesh have seized two 1.25 kg hemp plants illegally kept hidden in the middle of cotton plants in the fields.
Under the Khargone drug de-addiction campaign, the Bhikgaon police took third consecutive action against the illegal ganja plantation of Khargone police from village Utkheda, under a special de-addiction campaign against illegal drugs, illicit liquor etc. Superintendent of Police Khargone Shri Dharamveer Singh Under the guidance of the Chief Minister, action is being taken by all the police stations of the district against the illegal liquor vendors and those who drive in a state of intoxication.
Information was received from the informer that Mohan Dudve of village Utkheda has planted illegal hemp plants in the middle of the cotton crop in his field. On the above information, under the guidance of Additional Superintendent of Police Jitendra Panwar and Shri Manish Khatri, the police station in-charge Bhikangaon and his team went to the informer's place and confirmed that illegally planted cannabis plants were found in the middle of the chilli crop. When asked about the farm owner, he was told that no permission has been taken to plant them. After this, the accused Mohan's father Magan Dudwe resident of village Utkheda police station Bhikangaon was arrested and action was taken under NDPS Act by confiscating illegal ganja saplings from his field of total 124.750 kg.
