Damoh, Under the Damoh Food Safety and Standards Act, Additional Collector and Adjudicating Officer Meena Masram has imposed a penalty of Rs. 1 lakh on 03 non-applicants of the district on the charge of being found guilty of selling counterfeit Paneer Loose/Khoba Loose and Sahakar Desi Ghee.

On the complaint presented by Food Safety Officer Madhavi Rawat (Budhaulia), a penalty of Rs. 50,000 has been imposed on non-applicants Chandra Prakash Vishwakarma father Panchamlal Vishwakarma resident Bangaon Tehsil Patera and Pawan Kumar Srivastava father Lakhanlal Srivastava resident Bansa Tehsil Damoh for selling substandard Paneer Loose/Khoba Loose and a penalty of Rs. 50,000 has been imposed on non-applicant Abhishek Ahuja father Mahesh Ahuja resident Sindhi Kachcha Camp Tehsil Damyanti Nagar Damoh for selling substandard Sahakar Desi Ghee.

The amount of the imposed penalty should be deposited in the State Bank of India main branch, Damoh through challan under head 0210-Medical and Public Health 04 Public Health 104 Fees and Penalty etc. 0754 Food and Drug Control and a copy of the challan should be submitted in the office of the Court Additional Collector and Adjudicating Officer. The amount of the imposed penalty should be deposited within 15 days. If the amount is not deposited within the stipulated time, it will be recovered like arrears of land revenue under section 96 of the Act. He has ordered that the material purchased should be destroyed after the appeal period.
