Maihar, Aam Aadmi Party's District President Pushpendra Singh led party leaders and workers today handed over a memorandum to SDM, Maihar and raised many important problems of the region. In the memorandum, the collector's office of the newly formed district was demanded to be set up in the center of the district, so that all citizens can get equal benefits. Along with this, the party drew the attention of the government to the problems related to farmers and the general public in the region. These mainly include the BJP government's promise to give the farmers the support price of paddy at Rs 3100 per quintal, ensuring adequate supply of fertilizers, rising electricity bills, and problems like misbehavior with farmers.
Pushpendra Singh said that the traffic system in the city has become very bad, due to which life has become chaotic. He also expressed concern over the lack of transparency in the AQI (Air Quality Index) of all the three cement factories established in the district and its increasing pollution. Pushpendra Singh warned that if these demands are not immediately heeded, the party will launch a big movement through a public awareness campaign. He said that if necessary, they will take to the streets in the capital and protest, no matter what kind of difficulties they have to face for this.
