Satna, Aam Aadmi Party District Unit Satna, under the leadership of District President Dr. Amit Singh, today handed over a memorandum addressed to Chief Minister Shri Mohan Yadav to the Collector and appealed for the immediate implementation of BJP's election guarantee of minimum support price (MSP) of paddy to Rs 3100 per quintal for the farmers of the state. In the memorandum, the party said that in the 2023 assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had promised the farmers that after the formation of the government, the MSP of paddy would be Rs 3100 per quintal. Along with this, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi had also expressed his commitment for the welfare of the farmers. But even after the election results, this promise was not fulfilled, due to which disappointment and anger is increasing among the farmers towards the government. District President of Aam Aadmi Party, Dr. Amit Singh said, "Lakhs of farmers of the state are constantly struggling with inflation and crisis. If the government does not fulfill its promise, then we will protest in support of the farmers across the state. In Satna district, we will run a public awareness campaign on this issue and also hold a movement." He said, "This was not just an election promise, but it is the responsibility of the government to fulfill the guarantee given by the BJP to improve the economic condition of the farmers. We request the Chief Minister to give priority to this issue and resolve it soon." District President of Aam Aadmi Party Kisan Wing Arjun Dahiya said that if the government does not take any concrete steps for the rights of the farmers, then the party will take to the streets and intensify its movement. The goal of the party is to get the farmers of the state a fair price for their hard work and improve their lives. During the submission of the memorandum, State Joint Secretary of Women's Wing Sita Singh, District Secretary Anil Garg "Pintu", District Vice Presidents Rajabhaiya Pandey, Sukhendra Singh, Rajaram Yadav and Rohit Pandey, OBC were present.
