5 lakh extortion money demanded by pasting a pamphlet on a medicine shop in Patna
Threatened to kill if not paid
Patna, criminals are committing crimes openly in Patna, the capital of Bihar. The criminals have become so arrogant that they can commit any crime and run away anytime. At the same time, now the way of demanding extortion has also changed. Actually, the miscreants have pasted a pamphlet on a medical shop in Patna and demanded a ransom of five lakh rupees. It is also written that if you do not pay, I will kill you.
The incident is from Nagar Bazaar of Paliganj, Patna. A case of demanding extortion of five lakh rupees by pasting a pamphlet from Gopal Pharma, a medicine shop located here, has come to light. The victim shopkeeper Gopal Kumar told on mobile that someone has pasted a pamphlet written in red ink on the wall of his shop demanding five lakh rupees. There has also been a threat of murder if the money is not paid. In this case, the victim has given an application in the city police station and appealed to the police for the protection of life and property.
In the application given to the police, the victim has written that on the night of 23rd October, when he had closed his shop and gone home at Kushwaha Market in Nagar Bazaar, someone had pasted a pamphlet on the wall of the shop in the name of Subodh Singh gang. The next day, when he was opening the shop in the morning, he saw the pamphlet pasted on the wall. That day he took the pamphlet lightly and thought it to be someone's mischief, but the next day on the night of 25th October, another pamphlet was pasted in the name of the same gang.
He further told that like every day, when he came to his shop on 26th October, he found another pamphlet pasted. In this pamphlet too, a ransom of five lakhs has been demanded and if the ransom is not paid, a threat of murder has been given. This time the victim shopkeeper took it seriously and has given an application in the local police station demanding security and has asked the police to investigate the matter and take action against the person who pasted the pamphlet.
