Gopalganj, Gopalganj Police has increased security on the border of UP-Bihar regarding the Lok Sabha elections. Interstate checkposts have been made at 49 places to strictly check vehicles coming from Uttar Pradesh. At the same time, seven multi checkposts have been made, where along with police forces, BSF forces, magistrates and police officials have been deployed. District Election Officer cum DM Maqsood Alam and SP Swarn Prabhat are continuously monitoring the interstate checkpost.

DM cum District Election Officer Mohammad Maqsood Alam said that in view of the Lok Sabha elections, checkposts have been made in the border areas of UP-Bihar. There will be deployment of police officials along with magistrate and paramilitary forces 24 hours at the check post. Strict checking of vehicles traveling from one state to another has been started. At the same time, for its monitoring, CCTV cameras have been installed at all the check posts, which will remain operational 24 hours.

These things will be investigated

SP said that in connection with the elections, smuggling of liquor from UP, cash and black money being carried for use in elections, narcotics, weapons and election influencing materials will be investigated. SP said that seven multi checkposts have been made, where teams from Income Tax Department, GST, Transport Department and other departments will be there, which will investigate and take action.

Interstate checkpost built here

According to the district administration, checkposts have been made in all the police station areas in the border areas of UP-Bihar. There is already Balthari integrated check post in Kuchaykot police station. Apart from this, interstate checkposts have also been made in Gopalpur, Vishambharpur police station area. At the same time, interstate checkposts have also been made in the areas of Kateya, Bhore, Vijaypur, Sripur, Phulwariya police station area. All these checkposts are connected to the UP border and have been made to check vehicles coming from UP.
