410 police officers have been transferred voluntarily in Bihar. This includes policemen from constable to inspector rank. The transfer committee constituted at the Bihar Police Headquarters level has approved it.

Policemen with less than 2 years of service were transferred

These are such policemen whose service is less than two years left. These policemen who are close to retirement have been posted voluntarily or in their home district on the basis of rules. At the same time, 76 such applications have also been rejected.

Posting will be done in the home district

According to the information received from the Police Headquarters, recommendations were taken through regional police offices regarding the posting and transfer of these policemen. In the headquarters meeting, officers and personnel retiring within a year have been posted at voluntary places while officers and personnel with a retirement period of two years or less have been posted in their home districts.

The requests of those policemen who had requested for posting in the unit only on the basis of proximity to retirement have been rejected. Only applications from voluntary and home district have been considered.

Confirmation of service of 192 police inspectors

At the same time, the police headquarters has confirmed the service of 192 police inspectors. These police inspectors are currently posted in various districts and police units of the state. These police officers got promotion in the period from 2010 to 2018. At the same time, the matter of service confirmation of 43 police inspectors has been kept pending in view of the departmental and other proceedings going on against them.
