Hajipur, Principal Suresh Sahni alias Rupnandan of Madhya Vidyalaya Rikhar in Lalganj block of Hajipur district has been suspended for stealing eggs. The principal of the government school is accused of taking home the eggs meant for the children's mid-day meal. When the video of him carrying the eggs in a bag went viral, the District Education Officer sent a notice to the head master and sought a written reply.

Only 40 days were left in the job

In a conversation with India TV, Principal Suresh Sahni alias Rupnandan said that his job is left only till January 2025. After this he will retire. On this, the District Education Officer said that it is a different matter that how much tenure of his job is left. I have no information in this regard.

District Education Officer ordered an inquiry

In this regard, District Education Officer Virendra Narayan said that on the basis of the video, it was found that the egg was stolen, due to which the headmaster has been suspended immediately. A special team has been formed in this case and investigation is being done. Departmental action can also be taken after the investigation. On December 16, the Education Department had sought an explanation from the accused head master and the District Program Officer. It was said that action would be taken within 24 hours if no answer was given.

The video of egg theft went viral

Let us tell you that the video of the head master stealing eggs went viral. Due to this, the education department was criticized. In the viral video, it was clearly visible that the accused principal is standing and eggs are being given to him in a bag from the mid-day meal vehicle. He was going to take these eggs home. The viral video is said to be of December 12, but after the video went viral, on December 16, the District Education Officer had sought an explanation from the accused teacher.

On December 18, Suresh Sahni, posted as headmaster of Middle School Rikhar, Lalganj block, was suspended and removed with immediate effect by the district education officer on charges of egg theft.
