Patna, during the Lok Sabha election period, investigation agencies are continuously taking action at the country level. In this, action is being taken to stop illegal cash seizure and many other types of temptation related incidents. Amidst the noise of elections, a large amount of cash has been seized in the action of the Income Tax Department. The seized cash is about 40 crore rupees. The investigation officers were also shocked to find such a huge amount of cash at once.
The Income Tax Department recovered cash worth about 40 crore rupees during a raid against some shoe manufacturing units in Agra. Official sources gave this information.
Sources said that the counting of notes is still going on and the figure may increase. They said that a shoe businessman and his associated units in Agra, Uttar Pradesh were raided this afternoon and cash worth 40 crore rupees has been recovered so far.
