This time there are five Mondays in a month.
Flood of devotees gathered in Garibnath temple
On the first Monday of Sawan, till 6.30 am, about 25 thousand Shiva devotees performed Jalabhishek of Baba in Baba Garibnath temple. The arrival of Kanwarias started from Sunday night itself. Which will continue till late Monday evening. Local people also started coming from around 12 o'clock at night. The sounds of Bol Bam and Har-Har Mahadev were echoing in the atmosphere. Like every time, this time also adequate arrangements have been made by the police administration and temple management to control the crowd. A large number of male and female volunteers are deployed in the temple and fair premises.
Despite the ban, the bombs came on bikes
Despite the ban on bikes, cycles or any vehicle after RDS College, the bike bombs did not listen. Late on Sunday night, many bike riders came till Makhan Sah Chowk. From there, we stood in a queue and did Jalabhishek.
Each day of the month of Sawan has special importance
Baba Vinay Pathak, the chief priest of Garibnath temple, said that the number of devotees offering water can reach 1 lakh by Monday night. Including Kanvi and locals, it will reach 1 lakh. It is the administration's job to inaugurate the fair. Each day of Sawan is important. Don't worship only on Mondays. People have reduced the month of Sawan to only Mondays. Expand it. Give importance to each day of Sawan. There won't be so much crowd if you offer water every day.
