Ratlam, Accidents are happening because of negligence at every level regarding Ratlam-school buses. Along with the police, the school-parents need to be strict. There is improvement only during the campaign, later the situation remains the same. This negligence can be further heavy.

There are big talks for road safety, but there is no implementation. Improvement is visible only as long as the campaign goes on. After this the situation becomes as it was. Unfit school buses are seen plying, while tempos and e-rickshaws carry more children than their capacity. Rules are ignored separately. School children are also seen coming and going on two wheelers. Negligence that starts at home is visible on the road and inside the school. Means neither the parents are paying attention nor the police is taking strict action. The schools are also doing nothing.

Children traveling in old junk vehicles engaged in private schools are not safe. A major accident can happen at any time.

Some vehicles go over bumps. Neither the responsible nor the family members are paying any attention to this. Paying arbitrary fees of private schools, most of the educational institutions claiming state-of-the-art facilities are in bad condition. They claim the safety of the children, but the vehicles which have been deployed in the school to pick up the children from home. Maybe they don't care about that. Located on the way from Naveli to Ranigaon, in the school named Sky English Academy, when the school bus was taking the children to school in the morning. Then it stopped on the way. After this, calling the people around and asked them to push. People pushed to a distance, then the bus started somewhere. The driver, the school management and even the parents of the children probably do not care about this, this negligence gives rise to a big accident, but all these things do not matter to the school administrators, not only in this school, but also in the nearby villages. There are many private schools whose vehicles are running fast on the roads without any fitness insurance and regulations, but unaware of all this, innocent children are going from school to house everyday in these school vehicles. But no one else is paying attention to this. A few months back, four children were killed and 11 were injured in a collision between a school van and a truck in Ujjain district. The accident happened due to the negligence of the drivers of both the vehicles. Both were driving their respective vehicles at high speed. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and former Chief Minister Kamal Nath expressed grief by tweeting on this heartbreaking incident. And in Piploda, after the death of innocent children by being run over by a school bus, the administration woke up for a few days and again the same condition as before, perhaps the administration is waiting for yet another accident.
This is necessary in the operation of the school bus

  • There should be a camera in the bus
  • GPRS Tracker.
  • Fire extinguisher.
  • Medical kit.
  • Must have a bus permit.
  • Fitness certificate of the bus.
  • Pollution Validity Certificate.
  • Driving license.
  • There should be a male and female helper.
  • There should be three pipes on the side, so that the child cannot stick his head out.
  • Must have seat belts.
  • The name and number of the school should be written on the back of the bus.
  • There should be a speed governor, which does not allow over speed.
  • The bus should be have valid Police verification of the driver

Above half of all these rules are not followed and then they invite big accidents.
However, it remains to be seen whether the responsible will take a big action to follow all these rules or will wake up after a big accident.
