Saharanpur (Uttar Pradesh), A meeting was convened in the Collectorate auditorium under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Manish Bansal with a view to further strengthen the safety of women, girls and children. In the meeting, District Magistrate Manish Bansal, in the order of the government order issued by the state government, directed that along with the safety of women at the workplace, an internal complaint committee should also be formed to resolve complaints. He directed the District School Inspector and District Basic Education Officer to distribute this government order in all schools. He directed that other helpline numbers including women and child helpline should be displayed at schools, hospitals, offices and public places. Women and children, especially girls and their families should be given information about various schemes of the government. Women and girls should be made aware of the major laws providing protection. Information about government schemes related to women safety, respect and self-reliance should be given to the general public. He directed that in all schools, boys and girls should be made aware of the relevant laws in simple language. District Magistrate Manish Bansal directed all the concerned departments to ensure the safety of women by establishing mutual coordination. Along with ensuring strict compliance of the guidelines issued by the government, he also told that the schemes being run by the government for the welfare of women and the security related toll free numbers 1098 Child Helpline, 181 Women Helpline, 1090 Women Power Line, 112 Police Assistance, 1076 Chief Minister Helpline should be publicized. He told that Mission Shakti Abhiyan is being run by the state government for the safety, respect and self-reliance of women. This is the fifth phase of Mission Shakti Abhiyan. Apart from ensuring the safety of women, he also said that along with ensuring other measures along with securing the routes of traffic, women helpline and self-defense training are also necessary. On this occasion, Additional District Magistrate (Administration) Dr. Archana Dwivedi, Additional District Magistrate (Finance and Revenue) Rajneesh Kumar Mishra, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Praveen Kumar, City Magistrate Gajendra Kumar, District Probation Officer Abhishek Pandey along with the officers of Police Department and concerned department and Executive Officer were present.
