Five MoUs were signed for the export of 60 metric tons of mangoes
Saharanpur, chaired by Deputy Director Administration/Marketing Devendra Kumar Verma, organized a mango buyer-seller meeting for mango growers, exporters, FPOs, and FPCs in the Circuit House auditorium, organized by the State Agricultural Produce Market Council, Saharanpur. The meeting provided a platform for direct communication between farmers and exporters, information on quality grading, quality management, and improved trade. Kuldeep Singh, City Magistrate/Chairman of the Agricultural Produce Market Committee, Saharanpur, was present as the chief guest. Rahul Yadav, Assistant Agricultural Marketing Officer, provided detailed information about exports to farmer organizations. Scientist I.K. Kushwaha from the Krishi Vigyan Kendra briefed farmers and exporters on pest and disease control in horticulture. Vishal Saini explained the importance of APEDA in exports. Five MoUs totaling 60 metric tons were signed at the event. Which will boost agricultural exports. The speakers in the program said that such MoUs will play an important role in providing better prices to the farmers for their produce, strengthening the FPO and giving a new direction to the export of agricultural and horticultural products from Saharanpur district. In future also, the Agriculture Marketing Department and APEDA will keep organizing such programs to promote agricultural exports by establishing coordination between producers and exporters. On this occasion, Mandi Secretary Devendra Pratap Singh, District Horticulture Officer, Associate Vishal Saini from APEDA, Senior Marketing Inspector Mukul Kumar, Mandi Inspector Anuj Kumar, Mandi Inspector Tarun Kumar along with FPO representatives, progressive farmers, exporters and other dignitaries were present.
