The date of return to Earth of astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla of Axiom Space's X-4 mission crew has been revealed. NASA has reported that astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla is expected to return to Earth on July 14 for the Axiom-4 mission. As this date is approaching, Captain Shubhanshu Shukla's parents are excited to welcome their son.

Shubhshu Shukla's father Shambhu Dayal Shukla told 'ANI', "We are really very excited, the whole family is excited. We pray to God that he comes back soon. We wish for his safe return." He further said, "It is a matter of pride for us that he is returning after completing the mission, we thank God for this. He is healthy and his mission is going well."

The crew was earlier scheduled to leave for the return journey on July 10, but it was later extended. Shubhanshu Shukla's mother Asha Shukla said, "We are very excited. We are happy that the moment is coming when our child will come back to us, and we will be able to meet him. We pray to God that he comes back safely." He further said, "It has come in the newspapers that the seeds he had sown have now sprouted... We are very excited for his return... We will welcome him with open heart, warmth and band-baaja.

Axiom Space reported on its mission blog that the crew members of Axiom Mission 4 conducted extensive research activities aimed at advancing scientific studies, testing new technologies and continuing global outreach efforts in space exploration.

Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla conducted three experiments in space. In the first experiment, he worked on the Sprouts project to study how microgravity affects germination and early growth of plants. Upon returning to Earth, the seeds will be grown for several generations to study changes in their genetics, microbial ecosystem and nutritional profile.

In another experiment, they deployed and stored microalgae, whose ability to generate food, oxygen and even biofuel is being investigated. Axiom Space's blog reported That their flexibility and versatility make them ideal for human life on long-duration missions.
