New Delhi/Varanasi. Various events were organized across the country on Thursday to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 76th birthday. From Varanasi to Vadnagar in Gujarat, temples hosted special pujas, service activities, and bike rides. This year's events were also linked to Prime Minister Modi's 25 years in public life, and various activities are planned throughout the month under the "Seva Sankalp Abhiyan."

A special religious ceremony was held at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, and Union Minister Chirag Paswan, among other leaders, offered prayers. A havan (fire ritual) and special mantras were chanted for the Prime Minister's long life and well-being. Following this, the "Seva Sankalp" bike ride departed from Varanasi for Vadnagar.

Religious and social activities were also held during the events held in Vadnagar to mark the Prime Minister's birthday. Lamp lighting, tree planting, and other service programs were organized in various parts of Gujarat.

Delhi to be decorated with 1.25 lakh lamps

In Delhi, a program has been organized to light 1.25 lakh lamps on the path of duty on the occasion of the Prime Minister's birthday. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has appealed to people to light a "blessing lamp" in their homes between 6 and 7 pm. In addition, a 108-kund Yagna is being organized at Khatu Shyam Dham in Alipur and a mega blood donation camp is being organized at Thyagaraj Stadium.

According to the Delhi government, blood banks from 11 government hospitals and other institutions will participate in the blood donation camp, with a target of collecting approximately 2,500 units of blood. The "Namo Shramik Seva Kendra" is also being launched as part of this campaign.
