Lucknow, Saharanpur, two brothers Samad (15) and Ahad (12) sons of Kari Gulfam, residents of village Kunda Kala, died by drowning while bathing in Yamuna river. Their friend shouted for help, but by the time they were pulled out, they had already died. The family took the bodies with them without conducting post-mortem. According to the information received, Samad was crossing the Yamuna river with his younger brother Ahad and neighbor Anas (8) son of Gulzar to bring grass from the field. During this time he started bathing in the river. Then Ahad started drowning, seeing his younger brother drowning, Samad went to save him, but the pit was so deep that he also drowned. Seeing both the brothers drowning, Anas came out and shouted for help. No person was seen around the river, after which Anas went to the village and informed about the drowning of both the brothers. The family members and a large number of villagers reached the spot. They started searching for the two brothers in the water. Both were taken out after about an hour, but by then they had died. The village is mourning due to the death of both the brothers. Ahad and Samad were five siblings. One brother is elder to them, while two siblings are younger to them. Father Qari Gulfam sells clothes and also does farming. There is an uproar in his house due to the death of two children.
