New Delhi: Heavy rain may occur in many parts of the country today. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of torrential rain in Jharkhand, Karnataka, Odisha and West Bengal. According to the department, heavy rain with light to moderate rain is likely at most places in southern Jharkhand on October 24. While heavy rain may occur at different places on October 25. At the same time, a warning of torrential rain has been issued in Dhenkanal, Khorda, Puri, Mayurbhanj, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsingpur Kendujhar, Jajpur, Cuttack of Odisha.

Heavy rain is likely in South and North 24 Parganas districts of West Bengal, East and West Medinipur. Torrential rain alert has been issued in Jhargram, Howrah, Hooghly, Kolkata and Bankura districts of Gangetic West Bengal. Heavy rain is expected in Bengal today and tomorrow as well.

IMD has issued a yellow alert of rain for Bengaluru on October 24. During this time, heavy rains and storms will continue in some parts of the city. Heavy rain is likely at isolated places over Uttara Kannada, Udupi, Dharwad, Belagavi, Haveri, Mandya, Mysuru, Hassan, Kodagu, Ramanagara, Tumkur and Chitradurga districts. Meanwhile, moderate rain and thundershowers are likely at most places over the remaining districts of south interior Karnataka and light to moderate rain and thundershowers are likely at a few places over the remaining districts of north interior Karnataka.
