Saharanpur, District Magistrate Dr. Dinesh Chandra, with the aim of maintaining public peace, conducting free, fair and peaceful voting on April 19 in the district under the Lok Sabha General Elections 2024, from 6 pm on April 17 till the end of voting on April 19 and Counting day has been declared a dry day. Dr. Dinesh Chandra, using the powers granted under Section 59 of the Excise Act, issued an order that during this period all excise shops such as country liquor, foreign liquor, beer and cannabis retail licenses, model shops and wholesale licenses such as CL-2 , FL-2/2B and cannabis, FL-6/7/7A bar license and FL-16/17 license, FL-41 license shops will remain closed. He gave instructions to keep the limit of possession of intoxicants under control. Under this, no consideration will be paid to the licensees for the period of this closure.
