Saharanpur. Addressing a meeting of farmers in Deoband, village Manki, National President of Bharatiya Kisan Union Verma and West Pradesh Mukti Morcha, Bhagat Singh Verma said that the central and state governments of BJP are doing anti-farmer work. The government is not able to provide the farmers the cost price, let alone the profitable price of their crops. Due to which the farmers of the country are committing suicide due to debt. When the farmers want to go to Delhi to get their demands accepted, they are stopped from going to Delhi by lathi charge and use of force. Bhagat Singh Verma said that the farmers of the country want to go to Delhi to get the Delhi MSP Guarantee Act made, to get farmers a profitable price for their crops, to get a Kisan Commission formed, to get old age pension of ₹ 10,000 per month to elderly farmers, to get free electricity to farmers, to get a profitable price of ₹ 700 per quintal for sugarcane, to get the outstanding sugarcane payment and interest from sugar mills immediately, and to end all the debts of the farmers. Farmers do not want to go to Delhi and participate in power, they want a solution to their problems. Bhagat Singh Verma said that lathi charge and use of force on the farmers who are running peaceful agitations in the country and states is condemnable and sheer injustice. The progress of the country is possible only with the progress of farmers. The central and state governments of BJP are constantly doing anti-farmer work. Which the farmers of the country will not tolerate at any cost. The meeting was chaired by Wahid Ali Munna and conducted by the State General Secretary of Bharatiya Kisan Union Verma, Asim Malik. State Secretary Master Raees Ahmed, Divisional Vice President Kripal Singh, District Vice President Wasim Zaheerpur, District Minister Mehboob Hasan, District Organization Minister Surendra Singh Advocate, Mohammad Zahid, Mohammad Shahid, former District Panchayat member Sudhir Chaudhary, Arvind Chaudhary, Harpal Singh, Mohammad Ikram, Qadir Ali, Mohammad Ramzan, Zubair Ali etc. were present in the meeting.
