Test flight of ISRO Mission Gaganyaan launched successfully
Payload dropped safely into sea
New Delhi, The unmanned test flight for the ambitious Gaganyaan Mission of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) was successfully launched. Earlier this launch was scheduled to happen at 8 am, but due to technical glitch it had to be postponed and then it was successfully launched at 10 am. ISRO announced that the TV-D1 mission was a complete success and the payloads later splashed down safely into the ocean as planned.
After the successful completion of this mission, ISRO chief S Somnath gave information about the initial flaws in the mission. “The lift was initially stopped after the ground computer detected a non-conformity,” he said. We identified it immediately and rectified it very quickly.
ISRO Chief said that the purpose of the mission was to demonstrate the crew escape system. He said, 'The vehicle went slightly above the speed of sound before the crew started making evacuation arrangements.'
Somnath also said, 'The rescue system took the crew module away from the vehicle and the subsequent operations including touch-down at sea were completed very well.' He said, 'After recovery of the crew module from the sea. Later we will come back with more data and analysis.
S Shivakumar, director of this mission, said that all the systems 'performed well' during the launch of the test flight. He said, ‘This is like an effort never attempted before. It is like a bouquet of three experiments put together. We have now looked at the characteristics of all three systems and what we wanted to test through this experiment or this mission. The test vehicle, the crew escape system, the crew module, everything, we have demonstrated completely in the first attempt.
Let us tell you that ISRO took a step forward in the direction of its ambitious program 'Gaganyaan' to send humans into space through this launch of a single-stage liquid propellant rocket. ISRO aims to send humans into space in a 400 km low Earth orbit for the three-day Gaganyaan mission and bring them back safely to Earth.
