Saharanpur. In the sequence of instructions of District Magistrate Manish Bansal, a meeting was convened in the new auditorium located at the Collectorate under the chairmanship of Additional District Magistrate Administration Dr. Archana Dwivedi regarding the organization of Swachhata Hi Seva 2024 Swabhav Swachhata-Sanskar Swachhata Pakhwada to be organized from 14 September to 01 October under Swachh Bharat Mission Gramin and from 17 September to 02 October in urban bodies. Dr. Archana Dwivedi said that Swachhata Hi Seva Abhiyan is being organized from 14 September to 01 October in rural areas and from 17 September to 02 October in urban bodies to celebrate Swachh Bharat Day on 02 October on the theme of Swabhav Swachhata-Sanskar Swachhata on the 10th anniversary of Swachh Bharat Mission. Through this fortnight, our commitment towards total cleanliness will be ensured by the participation of a large number of citizens for cleanliness, by identifying and running a massive campaign to clean the challenging sites of traditional garbage, recognizing the contribution of sanitation workers, celebrating the achievements of the last decade. The Additional District Magistrate said that participation of cleanliness, total cleanliness and Safai Mitra Suraksha Camp are the three main pillars of this campaign. Under the participation of cleanliness, various activities like public awareness, cleanliness oath, cleanliness related competitions, walkathon, marathon, tree plantation etc. will be organized to ensure the participation of citizens, communities and organizations. Under total cleanliness, total cleanliness will be ensured through Shramdaan, in which targeted units for cleanliness such as identification and cleaning of black spots will be compulsorily included. Mega cleanliness campaign with Shramdaan of citizens in which general cleanliness of rural areas will be focused. Community assets like water bodies, roads, vehicle stands, stations, garbage dumping sites and RRC centers etc. will be included. Under the Safai Mitra Suraksha Camp, a health and wellness camp will be organized for the health check-up of sanitation workers and laborers engaged in cleaning work. In which health care treatment center camps for Safai Mitras will be organized in coordination with various welfare schemes of the state and central government. On this occasion, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Praveen Kumar, Project Director DRDA Pranay Krishna, District Panchayat Raj Officer Alok Sharma, BDO and EO along with officers of the concerned departments were present.
