Saharanpur, In view of the Shravan month Kanwar Yatra 2026, Senior Superintendent of Police, Saharanpur, Abhinandan Singh conducted a field inspection of the main Kanwar route and reviewed security and traffic arrangements. The Senior Superintendent of Police, Saharanpur, along with the Superintendent of Police, Traffic, Circle Officer, Behat, and Circle Officer, Sadar, conducted a comprehensive field inspection of the district's major Kanwar routes. During the inspection, the entire Kanwar route, from Badkala Chowki, via Chhutmalpur Tiraha, Kalsiya Tiraha, Kasba Behat, Gandevra Tiraha, to Hathinikund Barrage, was thoroughly inspected for security, traffic, and other arrangements. During the inspection, various Kanwar camps, temporary police posts, and duty points were inspected, and security arrangements, traffic management, barricading, lighting, drinking water, medical assistance, and arrangements made for the convenience of pilgrims were reviewed. The concerned officers and police force were directed that the safety of the devotees should be the top priority during the Kanwar Yatra and constant vigilance should be maintained at sensitive and important places to keep the traffic system smooth. The Senior Superintendent of Police directed that all the officers and employees deployed on the Kanwar route should discharge their duties with full alertness, vigilance and coordination. Immediate and effective action should be ensured on any emergency or information, so that the devotees can experience a safe, smooth and organized journey. The officers said that the district police is fully committed to ensure safe and peaceful completion of Kanwar Yatra-2026.
