As per the instructions of the Government of India, 75 percent of the amount provided for the award should be used to ensure gap closure, reinforcement, maintenance, cleanliness arrangements etc. identified under the National Quality Assurance Standard and Kayakalp Award Scheme of the hospital, so that the score of the hospital can increase. Under the Kayakalp Award Scheme, there is a provision to give 25 percent of the award amount as incentive amount to the officers and employees for encouragement. The Chief Medical Superintendents have been authorized to determine the incentive amount to the officers and employees on the basis of their role and cooperation in the implementation of the Kayakalp Award Scheme.
