Saharanpur, District Forest Officer Shubham Singh said that this time 42 lakh saplings will be planted in Saharanpur district and 85 lakh saplings will be planted in the division. In tree planting, preference will be given to planting both fruitful and shady trees. Participation of social organizations, schools-colleges and farmers will be ensured in this program. Trees will be planted in such places where there is less greenery.
World Environment Day is on 5th June. After that a massive campaign of tree planting will be started. Monsoon arrives in late June and early July. This time is considered suitable for planting trees. According to the Forest Department, 42 lakh in Saharanpur district, 29 lakh 24 thousand in Muzaffarnagar district.
280 and 13 lakh 77 thousand 680 saplings will be planted in Shamli district.
