Saharanpur, Saharanpur Obstetrics and Gynecology Society organised a special awareness camp on anaemia in Malhipur village. In which about 300 women were treated. Haemoglobin and sugar tests were also done. Society President Dr. Renu Singhal and Secretary Dr. Vandana Paliwal said that about 50 percent of women in India suffer from anaemia, while during pregnancy this figure reaches 80 percent. They advised to make the consumption of jaggery, gram, spinach, dates and seasonal fruits a part of regular lifestyle, so that serious diseases caused by blood deficiency can be avoided. During this, iron, calcium and protein were distributed to the women. On this occasion, Dr. Anita Malik, Dr. Seema Aggarwal, Dr. Ritu Jain, Dr. Chitra Manchanda, Dr. Mamta Chawla, Dr. Renu Aggarwal, Amit Sharma etc. were present.
