Saharanpur, The number of ministers in Saharanpur division may soon increase from three to four. According to sources, an MLA from RLD quota will be made a minister in Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath government. It is being told that Budhana MLA Rajpal Balyan can be made a cabinet rank minister in the Yogi government. RLD has a total of nine MLAs. Rajpal Balyan is the leader of RLD Legislative Party. He is also a senior MLA of RLD. Rajpal Balyan is also considered very close to Bharatiya Kisan Union leaders Naresh Tikait and Rakesh Tikait. Till now, the three ministers from Saharanpur division included in the Yogi cabinet are Jaswant Saini and Brijesh Rawat representing Saharanpur and Kapil Dev Aggarwal representing Muzaffarnagar. All three are ministers of state.
Rajpal Baliyan belongs to Jat community. By becoming his minister, the BJP-RLD alliance can get huge benefits in the Lok Sabha elections. It is almost certain that Rajpal Balyan will be made a minister in the cabinet expansion that is going to happen very soon. It is being told that RLD chief Jayant Chaudhary has proposed his name on behalf of the party.
