Saharanpur, Dev, Pihu, Devanshi, Abhishek, Vanshika and Jeevika were the toppers in their respective categories and won gold medals in the District Yogasana Sports Championship held in various categories at the Yoga based English medium school Nation Builders Academy located in Beribag, Saharanpur. Chief guest Mayor Dr. Ajay Kumar Singh and function president Ravindra Miglani gave medals and certificates to the winners. Artistic Single 9 to 14 age group (Men) First - Dev Saini, Second - Shiva Pal, (9 to 14 age group Women) First - Pihu Saini, Second - Aarushi, Third - Avani Rao, (18 to 28 age group Women) First: Shubhanshi, Second - Aastha, Third - Diksha Yadav, Artistic Single 14 to 28 age group Men first - Abhishek, Artistic Pair 9 to 14 age group Women) First - Vanshika and Jeevika, 9 to 14 age group Men first: Yeshu Pal, Akshit, Second: Dhairya, Devansh, 14 to 18 age group Men first - Sarthak, Aarav, Rhythmic Pair 9 to 14 age group Men first: Shiva, Vansh, Second, Akshit, Yeshu Pal. This winning team will represent the district in the State Yogasana Sports Competition. Mayor Dr. Ajay Kumar Singh said that he gets life energy from yoga, he described the concentration, thinking and health obtained from yoga as a boon which is the key to success in every sphere of life. He said that the youth of Saharanpur, the city of Yoga Guru Padmashri Swami Bharat Bhushan who gave global recognition to Saharanpur, should set new standards. Along with this, the program president Ravindra Miglani and the chief guest mayor were felicitated by the institution president NK Sharma, general secretary Navanish Sharma and program coordinator Anita Sharma by presenting a flower bouquet and a shawl. They were introduced to the judges. The program ended with the singing of the international yoga song of the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, Tan Man Jeevan Chalo Sanwaren. It is worth mentioning that this yoga song is also a gift of Mokshayatan International Yoga Institute located in Saharanpur. Which has been accepted by the government as a yoga song from International Yoga Day 2016.
