In the memorandum given to the Parliament, it has been said that the demands of Chowkidar/Gram Prahari were conveyed to the government administration for many years through love meetings, Gramin Chowkidar Vikas Kalyan Samiti UP and Gram Prahari Adhikar Morcha, from all the districts of the state to the capital Lucknow, related to the authority salary increase of all the Gram Prahari Chowkidar. Before the formation of the then Bharatiya Janata Party government, the representatives of the Chowkidar organization were called to the BJP office in Lucknow and it was promised that if the Bharatiya Janata Party government is formed, then the Gram Praharis/Chowkidars of Uttar Pradesh will be regularized and given the status of state employees.
