Varanasi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has won the election from Varanasi Lok Sabha seat. He defeated India Alliance candidate and state Congress President Ajay Rai by one lakh 50 thousand 513 votes. PM Modi got a total of 612970 votes. This is PM Modi's third consecutive victory from Varanasi.

BSP came third

According to the Election Commission, PM Modi got 6 lakh 12 thousand 970 votes while Congress candidate Ajay Rai got a total of 4 lakh 60 thousand 457 votes. BSP came third here. The BSP candidate got 33766 votes. Ajay Rai has contested against PM Modi earlier also but failed to win.

By how many votes did PM Modi win in 2019

Prime Minister Narendra Modi got 63.62 percent votes in the year 2019. PM Modi defeated SP candidate Shalini Yadav by 4.79 lakh votes. SP got 18.40 percent votes. While Congress candidate Ajay Rai was in third place. He got 14.38 votes.

In 2014, he won by more than three and a half lakh votes

When PM Modi contested from Varanasi for the first time in 2014, he defeated Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal by more than three lakh 72 thousand votes. In 2019 and 2014 also, Congress had fielded Ajay Rai against PM Modi.

On the other hand, Congress on Tuesday claimed that pressure is being put on district officials in many Lok Sabha constituencies in Uttar Pradesh to change the results. Party general secretary Jairam Ramesh posted on 'X', "Pressure is being put on district officials to win the seats by calling them in Maharajganj, Bansgaon, Meerut, Muzaffarnagar seats of Uttar Pradesh. He said, "Administrative officials should remember that the government is changing and this tampering with democracy will not be accepted.
