Saharanpur, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who arrived as the chief guest at the ground breaking ceremony held in Lucknow, was presented a wooden idol of Lord Ganesha made in Saharanpur. Even before this, wooden handicraft idols made in Saharanpur have been given as gifts to many VIPs. Industries Deputy Commissioner VK Kaushal said that this idol was taken from an establishment located in Pul Banjaran. Ajay Rathore, who makes wooden handicraft products, said that it was purchased from his place to gift it to the Prime Minister. Even before, Ganesh ji, Radha Krishna, Krishna ji, Hanuman ji, Saraswati and Arjun Rath etc. have been purchased from their place to give to VVIPs.
