Saharanpur. Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin Survey 2024 orientation seminar was organized in Vikaskhand Nakur auditorium under the chairmanship of Project Director DRDA and Block Development Officer Nakur Pranay Krishna.

In the seminar, Pranay Krishna explained in detail the eligibility and ineligibility standards for verification of housing beneficiaries to all the Pradhans and BDC members and pamphlets related to eligibility-ineligibility were also distributed to all. He said that the eligible will be selected on the basis of open meeting and door-to-door survey. Not a single eligible person will be left homeless. Project Director DRDA said that strict action will be taken against those who commit fraud in the scheme. Eligibility-ineligibility related standards will be displayed at public places. Publicity will be done in the village by making announcement three days before the meeting. He said that random checking of the eligible candidates will also be done at block and district level. Automatic eligibility for housing – families who are homeless. Families with one or two rooms with raw walls and raw roof, helpless or begging families, families carrying scavengers, primitive tribal groups, legally freed bonded labourers.

These people cannot get PM housing, families who have motor driven three or four wheeler vehicles or agricultural equipment, who have Kisan Credit Card of Rs. 50000 or more, families in which any member is a government employee, families whose non-agricultural industry is registered, families whose member's income is Rs. 15000 or more, families who have income tax liability, families who have 2.5 acres or more of irrigated land, families who have 5 acres or more of non-irrigated land. Block President of Pradhan Organization Sanjay Chaudhary, Village Head Surendra Saini, Virendra Rathore, Vinod Tyagi, Pradeep Chaudhary, Jasmer Singh, Narendra Singh etc. Village Heads, BDC Member and Assistant Development Officer ISB Ramnath Singh, In-charge Assistant Development Officer Panchayat Vikas Kumar, Assistant Development Officer Agriculture Sushil Kumar, all Village Panchayat Secretaries and office staff were present in the seminar.
