In Saharanpur, Deoband, when a street dog barked, a young man gave severe punishment to the dog, locked it in a room and beat it to death. The dog got seriously injured due to the beating by the young man. Its video went viral on social media. On the basis of the video, Deoband police registered a case against the said youth and arrested him and sent him to jail. While the dog is being treated at the veterinary hospital. X-ray of the dog will also be done. In this case, Inspector Hemant Bharti posted at Deoband police station has lodged an FIR. Superintendent of Police (Rural) Sagar Jain said that a video had gone viral on social media, in which a young man is seen beating a dog badly. He told that upon investigation it was found that the accused youth is Kuldeep who is a resident of Deoband area. He often tortures dogs in this manner. Sagar Jain said that information was received in Deoband police station that Kuldeep was beating a dog by keeping it locked in a room, after which the police team reached the spot and freed the injured dog from him and admitted it to the veterinary hospital. He told that a case has been registered against him in Deoband police station under Section 11 (A) of Cruelty to Animals Act and he has been arrested. Deoband Kotwali in-charge Sanjeev Kumar told that Kuldeep used to keep stray dogs in the locality by locking them in the room every day and beating them. Police had received information that Kuldeep was beating a dog by keeping it locked in a room. After the information, the police reached the spot and saw that the accused Kuldeep was locking a dog in a room and beating it mercilessly. The police freed the injured dog from Kuldeep and admitted him to the veterinary hospital for treatment. Whereas the accused youth Kuldeep was arrested and sent to jail. The police will get the dog X-rayed on the advice of a doctor as the dog suffered serious injuries due to its brutal beating in Deoband. An X-ray will determine whether the dog has sustained any internal injuries.
