Heeraben Modi Passed Away: Prime Minister Narendra Modi's mother Heeraben has died at the age of 100 in a hospital in Ahmedabad. After the death of the mother, Prime Minister Modi reached the residence of brother Pankaj Modi, where the body of his mother Heeraben was kept for the last darshan. Heeraben was admitted to the 'UN Mehta Institute of Cardiology and Research Center' on Wednesday morning due to some health related problems. According to the statement issued by the hospital, Prime Minister's mother Heeraben Modi breathed her last at 3:30 am today (December 30).

Expressing grief over the death of his mother, PM Modi wrote, "A glorious century rests at the feet of God... In mother I have always felt that trinity, in which the journey of an ascetic, the symbol of a selfless Karmayogi and the embodiment of values" Committed life has been contained."

PM Modi often talked about his relationship with his mother. Prime Minister Modi reached Ahmedabad from Delhi on Wednesday afternoon and met his mother in the hospital here. He stayed in the hospital for more than an hour.

The Prime Minister went to meet his mother Heeraben even before the voting for the Gujarat assembly elections. Heeraben lived with Prime Minister Modi's younger brother Pankaj Modi, also known as Heera Ba, in Raisan village near Gandhinagar city. Whenever the Prime Minister used to visit Gujarat, he used to go to Raison and meet his mother.
