Saharanpur (Behat). Pickup of devotees going to visit Shakambhari Devi in ​​Kotwali Behat area on Delhi-Yamunatri Highway collided with the truck coming from the front. One person died in the accident, while an 11-year-old child is seriously injured. There were 15-20 women and children in the pickup. The accident happened last night between Behat and Kalsia. Mukesh son Bhagirath, resident of Chamaran of Sardhana, Meerut, along with his family and women and children of the neighborhood, had gone from Sardhana to Shakambhari Devi in ​​a pickup. Between Behat and Kalsia, the driver lost control over the pickup. The pickup swayed on the road and collided with the truck coming from the front. In the accident, Mukesh (52), son of Bhagirath, died after hitting his head on the side of the pickup, while Akshit (10), son of Jitendra, was seriously injured. After the accident, the women and children travelling in the pickup started crying out loud. The driver of the truck fled with the truck. The devotees took the deceased Mukesh and the injured child to Behat CHC. On receiving the information, the police also reached the hospital. From where, after first aid, Akshit was referred to the district hospital due to his serious condition. It is being said that the pickup driver was drunk. The police say that action will be taken after receiving the complaint.
