Saharanpur. As per the instructions of District Magistrate Manish Bansal, a meeting was convened regarding the preparations for Partition Horror Memorial Day under the chairmanship of City Magistrate Gajendra Kumar. In the meeting, the City Magistrate said that on 14th August, an exhibition of records related to Partition Horror will be organized in IMA Bhawan. Under this, members of displaced families will be invited during the Partition Horror and a silent tribute will be paid to the people who sacrificed their lives during the tragedy. Along with this, members of displaced families will be honored.
Gajendra Kumar said that Partition Horror Memorial Day not only reminds us to end discrimination, animosity and ill will, but it also inspires unity, social harmony and human empowerment. He instructed the District School Inspector to also arrange a tour of the exhibition site for school students. On this occasion, District Information Officer Dilip Kumar Gupta, Tehsildar Sadar Amit Kumar, KL Arora, Surendra Sharma, RK Jain, Supneet Singh and DIOS representative were present.
