Saharanpur. Various beneficiary schemes run by the Social Welfare, Backward Classes, Minority Welfare, Disabled and Probation Department were reviewed in the new auditorium located at the Collectorate under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Manish Bansal. In the meeting, detailed information was taken about the progress of schemes like National Old Age Pension, Chief Minister's Mass Marriage Scheme, National Family Benefit Scheme, Pre-Tenth and Post-Tenth Scholarship, Chief Minister's Abhyudaya Scheme, Disabled Maintenance Pension Scheme, Assistive Equipment Scheme, Marriage Promotion Award Scheme, Shop Construction and Operation Scheme, Operation of Special Schools, Destitute Women Pension, Chief Minister Kanya Sumangala Scheme, Chief Minister Bal Seva Scheme Covid and General, Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao, Sponsorship Scheme, Prime Minister Jan Vikas Program, Madrasa Modernization etc. DM Manish Bansal directed that no eligible person in the district should be deprived of the pension scheme. The list of the identified eligible persons who are not getting the benefit of the scheme should be prepared village panchayat wise and after finding out the reasons, the deficiencies should be removed and they should be benefited and the list should also be made available to the concerned village panchayat secretary. He directed that marriage registration of all the couples getting married under the Chief Minister's mass marriage scheme should be done. He said that all the processes including tenders for the mass marriages to be held in this financial year should be completed on time. Verification of applications should be completed on time.
The District Magistrate directed the District Basic Education Officer to ensure that all the eligible girls studying in the first and sixth class are registered in the scheme within 15 days and certificates are made available. In the Chief Minister's Abhyudaya Scheme, instructions were given to provide the best possible training to the candidates and qualified and experienced teachers should be appointed for teaching. Under the Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao campaign, instructions were given to spread maximum public awareness through various mediums. While giving instructions to the Probation Officer, he said that in coordination with the Municipal Corporation, roads, squares, parks and main places etc. should be named after the Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao Abhiyan so that it can be established as a landmark. A permanent image can be created in the minds of the people of the district and a better message can be sent to the society. Along with this, gifts etc. should be given from time to time to encourage the daughters of the common people and employees who have daughters. On this occasion, Chief Development Officer Sumit Rajesh Mahajan, District Social Welfare Officer Archana, District Probation Officer Abhishek Pandey and other concerned officers were present.
