Saharanpur | Deoband, In the board meeting of Municipal Council Deoband, all the proposals regarding the development of the city were passed unanimously. In the meeting, everyone also approved the special proposal to install lights on the Kanwar Yatra route. In the board meeting held in the Palika Auditorium under the chairmanship of Municipal Chairman Vipin Garg, the details of income and expenditure from January to May 2024 were unanimously accepted. Under the Amrit program, the action plan for construction of seven high reservoirs and 14 tube wells for the supply of pure drinking water in the city was accepted and the proposal for selection of land as per requirement was placed on the board table. The proposal to send the proposal for construction of CC road in the populated area at various places to the government, to provide cold uniforms to the sanitation workers of the municipality, to give 20 plants to each councilor for environmental protection and to install lights on the Kanwar Yatra route was passed. All the proposals including making route chart of e-rickshaws to save the markets from jam, reboring of new mini tube well in Mohalla Baroon Kotla, repair work of community and public and pink toilets at various places, proposal to increase licensing fee rates and imposing house tax and water tax under self-tax system in a phased manner on commercial establishments etc. in the first phase of financial year 2024-25 to meet the target of recovery, were accepted unanimously. During this, councilor Syed Haris raised various issues of the city in the board. Syed Haris, while presenting his views before the Municipal Chairman in the board meeting, gave a letter pad in writing on behalf of the institution regarding the construction of a road outside Darul Uloom Waqf Deoband, the second largest Muslim institution, demanded the construction of the road outside the Mohalla Bariyon Masjid of the city and opposed the increase of 10% tax every year. At the same time, councilor Afsha Liaqat wife of Asif Liaqat raised the problem of water of the ward residents in the board meeting, on which the construction of a new tube well was unanimously passed. Due to the efforts of councilor Afsha Liaqat wife of Asif Liaqat of ward number 15, the residents of the ward who are facing the problem of non-availability of water, the proposal of reboring of a new tube well 125 HP has been accepted in the meeting of the Municipal Board today, so that the residents of the ward can get uninterrupted water supply, the residents of the ward are happy with the passing of the tube well and the residents of the ward have expressed their gratitude to Municipal Chairman Vipin Garg and councilor Afsa Liaqat. Executive Officer Dr. Dhirendra Kumar Rai, councilor Kuldeep Saini, Shahid Hasan, Ankit Rana, Haris Syed, Nadeem Chaudhary, Arjun Singhal, Ausaf Siddiqui, Akhtar Ansari, Haji Shahzad, Afsha Liaqat and about 24 councilors were present in the meeting.
