Saharanpur, in the presence of MLA Nakur Mukesh Chaudhary and District Magistrate Manish Bansal, a meeting was called in the new auditorium at the Collectorate to review the Har Ghar Nal-Har Ghar Jal scheme under Jal Jeevan Mission regarding the progress of the work done in the district. MLA Nakur Mukesh Chaudhary directed to make a better action plan and do restoration under the Har Ghar Jal scheme. He said that the scheme should be made in such a way that the general public does not face any kind of problem. Companies should not make excuses for slow progress, but make an action plan on how to complete the targeted work within the stipulated period. He said that Har Ghar Nal-Har Ghar Jal is an ambitious and top priority scheme of the Center and the State Government in the public interest, there should be no negligence in the implementation of this scheme on the ground. In the meeting, he gave his suggestions while giving feedback of the work being done in 93 villages of his assembly. During the review, District Magistrate Manish Bansal said that quality will not be compromised under any circumstances. Where the restoration work is poor, it should be done again. For this, he instructed TPI to go to the spot and provide a report. He said that where the pipeline work has been completed, the restoration work should be completed by 30 September by appointing a team. He instructed the companies working in the district to ensure that geotagged photos of the work being done by the teams are provided daily. DM Manish Bansal said that speed up the work by appointing additional teams. The work should be done on priority basis on the basis of feedback given by the public representatives. The officials will conduct surprise inspection of the work being done. In case of any deficiency found and providing wrong information, strict action will be taken against the concerned. He gave strict instructions to the Executive Engineer to ensure improvement in his supervision work. Chief Development Officer Sumit Rajesh Mahajan, PD DRDA Pranay Krishna, Executive Engineer Jal Nigam Anuj Kumar along with concerned officials and officials of the implementing agency were present in the meeting.
