Saharanpur, Minister of State, Public Works Department, Brijesh Singh inaugurated the tree plantation campaign by planting Harishankari sapling in the Mandi premises Rampur Maniharan under the tree plantation public campaign 2024 named Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam. The plants were distributed to the students by the Minister of State, MLA Rampur Maniharan, Nodal Officer, District Magistrate and Chief Development Officer and DFO. Minister of State Brijesh Singh appealed to the people of the district and said that to fulfill the Prime Minister's call for one tree in the name of mother and the Chief Minister's resolution to make the state green, every person should plant at least one tree and protect it. He said that in Indian culture, mother has been given the highest place, so every person should plant at least one tree in dedication to the mother and take care of it like his parents. He said that no campaign is possible without public participation, so every person should plant trees for their better future as well as for the lives of animals and birds. He congratulated the officials for planting more trees than the target.
MLA Rampur Maniharan Devendra Nim said that under the leadership of the Chief Minister, 36.5 crore saplings are being planted under the tree plantation public campaign across the state. The objective of which is to provide a clean and beautiful environment to the coming generations and improve their health. He said that take care of trees like parents. He appealed to the general public as well as the children present that everyone must plant a tree in the courtyard of their house and take care of it. Principal Secretary Animal Husbandry, Fisheries and Dairy Development, Government of Uttar Pradesh and the nodal officer nominated for the tree plantation campaign in the district, Ravindra said that it is very important to have trees and plants to keep the earth habitable for animals. Life without trees and plants cannot be imagined. Trees have a very important place in human life. Trees and plants not only give us oxygen but also fruits, flowers and wood. These maintain environmental balance. Plant as many trees as possible to take care of Mother Earth like your mother. District Magistrate Manish Bansal planted Amaltash and Chief Development Officer Sumit Rajesh Mahajan planted Mohagini under the Plantation Public Campaign. District Magistrate Manish Bansal said that 4386913 saplings were planted by all the departments in Saharanpur district. He said that just as a mother protects us by giving us life, similarly trees are also life-giving for us. Do plant trees to clean the environment and to provide continuous supply of oxygen. Trees not only provide us air but also fruits, flowers, vegetables and wood. The present problem of increasing global warming and pollution can be stopped only through trees. He appealed to the people of the district to participate enthusiastically in this campaign. DFO Shweta Sain presented plants as mementos to all the public representatives and officials present. While thanking everyone, she said that with the cooperation of everyone, more trees have been planted in the district than the target.
