Saharanpur, Mayor Dr. Ajay Kumar, District Magistrate Manish Bansal, Municipal Commissioner Sanjay Chauhan and SSP Rohit Sajwan along with administrative-police and corporation officials and councilors of the district showered flowers on the Shiv devotees participating in the Kanwar Yatra and greeted them. On this occasion, the officials provided umbrellas to the Quick Response Team formed by the Municipal Corporation to further strengthen the cleanliness system of Kanwar Seva Camps and sent them off to the camps. One thousand traffic cones given to the traffic police by Smart City to control the traffic system were also symbolically presented to SP Traffic Siddharth Verma by Mayor Dr. Ajay Kumar and Municipal Commissioner Sanjay Kumar. Mayor Dr. Ajay Kumar said that Kanwar Yatra is a festival of cultural nationalism. To ensure smooth and joyous completion of this festival, the Municipal Corporation has taken many new initiatives this year. This festival has been kept completely polythene and plastic free. District Magistrate Manish Bansal congratulated the Municipal Corporation team for the event and said that the District Administration, Police and Municipal Corporation along with various departments are organising the Kanwar Yatra in a very well planned manner. He expressed gratitude for the cooperation of the Kanwar camp operators and the general public in this. He said that all the teams are working with full dedication for the Jal Chadhe on August 2. The entire Yatra is being monitored from the control room. Municipal Commissioner Sanjay Chauhan, while mentioning the arrangements made by the Municipal Corporation to make the Kanwar Yatra historic, said that this year the Corporation has made arrangements with special attention on drinking water, cleanliness, lighting and toilets. A special squad has been formed as a Quick Response Team for cleaning the camps, which is being sent from here today. Before this, all the councillors present welcomed the Mayor and all the officers by presenting bouquets. On behalf of the Kanwar Sevak Sangh, councilors Mukesh Gakkhar, Sanjay Phutela, Rajkumar Makkar, Ravi Juneja, Yashpal Trehan, etc. welcomed them by putting a turban on them. On this occasion, SP City Abhimanyu Manglik, ADM Administration Dr. Archana Dwivedi, ADM Finance Rajneesh Mishra, City Magistrate Gajendra Singh, SP Traffic Siddharth Verma, SDM Deepak Kumar, Additional City Commissioner Rajesh Yadav and Mrityunjay, all the officers of the Municipal Corporation, party leader Sanjay Garg and a large number of councilors also showered flowers on the Kanwariyas.
