When a human being feels thirsty, he stores water or he asks for water from anywhere and drinks it, but birds and animals have to wander here and there for water in the extreme heat. In summer, many birds and animals die due to lack of water. Dr. Dinesh Chandra has appealed to all the respected residents of the district to maintain a sensitive attitude towards animals and birds in this summer season and make necessary arrangements for fodder and water with their own efforts. He said that all enlightened citizens should save the lives of birds and animals flying around their houses by quenching their thirst. To ensure that their chirping continues around their homes during summer, all citizens should be sensitive towards animals and birds and take special care of them. If water is not available, birds become unconscious and their chances of death increase. For birds and animals, water is considered like nectar in summer, and in summer, voiceless and silent animals and birds have to suffer in thirst. When animals are thirsty, they come and stand at the door of the house. In such a situation, try to feed the animal and give it water. People should make efforts to quench the thirst of animals and birds in summer. Keep a vessel filled with water in a shady place outside the house or in the balcony. When the water becomes hot, keep changing it from time to time. If any animal does not eat, becomes lethargic or vomits, consult a doctor. If you are keeping water and grains etc. then maintain it regularly. Keep in mind that the water vessel should be of the size of the animal or bird so that they do not face any inconvenience in drinking water and keep water vessels filled outside the house too, or keep water in a big vessel or bowl so that the cattle and birds can drink water. Whatever grains like gram, rice, jowar, wheat etc. are available in the house for birds, keep them on the roofs and at appropriate places for the birds.
