Jain community took out a grand Jalkalash Yatra

Saharanpur | Deoband, Jain community took out a grand Jalkalash Yatra on Anant Chaturdashi. Devotees anointed Shri Ji with thousands of pots and also worshipped the religion of celibacy. Jalkalash, Palki and Chakravarti Yatra started from Lord Shri Digambar Jain Temple Saragwara. The Yatra reached Lord Parshvanath Digambar Jain Temple Nechalgarh via Mandir Ji Bahara, Mandir Ji Kanungoyan etc. where devotees dressed as Indra anointed Shri Ji with water filled in a pot. The Yatra concluded by reaching Saragwara Temple again. During this time the atmosphere remained devotional with bhajans. During this time children, youth and elders took the form of Indra and circumambulated the city and gave the message of non-violence. Piyush Jain Shastri said that the day of Anant Chaturdashi is important in Jain scriptures, which teaches to observe the vow of celibacy. Along with this, the Jain community also celebrated the Nirvana Mahotsav of Lord Shri Vasu Pujya Ji with great joy. On this occasion, a large number of people from the Jain community including Udit Jain, Naman Jain, Sudesh Jain, Ajay Jain, Amit Jain, Vipul Jain, Shashank Jain, Utsav Jain, Milind Jain, Aarjav Jain, Vibhor Jain, Atul Jain, Sudesh Jain, Shubham Jain etc. were present.
