Saharanpur | Deoband, International Yoga Day was celebrated with great pomp and enthusiasm in Doon Valley Public School, Deoband today. On this special occasion, all the students, teachers and other staff members of the school were present in large numbers. The program was inaugurated by the school's chairman Rajkishore Gupta and manager Mrs. Suman Singhal by lighting the lamp. On this occasion of Yoga Day, various types of yoga activities were demonstrated in the school. Yoga experts and school yoga teachers Javed Chaudhary, Anil Mukund taught various yogasanas to the children and explained their importance in detail. Highlighting the benefits of yoga, he said that regular yoga practice not only improves physical health, but also provides mental peace and balance.

At the beginning of the program, prayer and meditation session was organized. In which all the present people participated and experienced mental peace. After this, various asanas like Surya Namaskar, Tadasana, Vrikshasana, Bhujangasana, Shalabhasana, Dhanurasana etc. were practiced. The children practiced these asanas with full enthusiasm and discipline. On this occasion, some students of the school also gave beautiful presentations based on yoga. Through their performance, they showed various yoga asanas and their benefits. These presentations of the children captivated everyone and made the program more beautiful. Sports teachers of the school Javed Chaudhary, Anil Mukund, Ashutosh Agarwal and Mrs. Kamini also gave information to the children about the right method and precautions during yoga practice. They told that while practicing yoga, physical capacity and limitations should be kept in mind and proficiency should be gradually gained in the practice. At the end of the program, the chairman of the school Rajkishore Gupta in his address underlined the importance of yoga and advised the children to do yoga regularly. He said that Yoga is an important part of Indian culture and it is extremely beneficial for our physical, mental and spiritual health. We should include Yoga in our daily life so that we can live a healthy and happy life. He said that regular Yoga practice will increase the attention and concentration of children which will also help in their academic achievements. He thanked all the people present and motivated the children to make Yoga an integral part of their life.
