Saharanpur. A memorandum was sent to the President, Prime Minister and Chief Minister by demonstrating at the SDM office under the banner of Indian Valmiki and Vanchit Samaj regarding sub-categorization in Deoband reservation. Hundreds of people demonstrated at the Sub-Divisional Magistrate's office and in the memorandum sent through SDM Ankur Verma, it was said that recently the Supreme Court had suggested to the Central and State governments to give separate reservation to the Scheduled Caste category by passing the provision of sub-categorization in the Scheduled Caste category. The Social Justice Committee has also accepted in its report that for the last 75 years only one or two castes are taking advantage of it. In such a situation, this proposal of the Supreme Court should be implemented soon. It was said that since the year 1975, the Punjab government is already giving 12 percent reservation from the 25 percent reservation of Scheduled Caste to the extremely Dalit class like Valmiki, Mazhabi Sikh, Khatik, Dom, Hela etc. States like Bihar, Tamil Nadu etc. have also moved towards this step. On this occasion Rakesh Ganguly, Monu, Narendra, Rakesh, Alok, Sachin, Sunil, Saurav, Deepak, Akash, Chandra, Narendra etc. were present.
