Saharanpur. A meeting was convened with the heads of sugar mills of the district in the new meeting room located in the Collectorate under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Dr. Dinesh Chandra regarding the payment of sugarcane price. In the meeting, District Magistrate Dr. Dinesh Chandra reprimanded the representatives of 04 sugar mills of the district which were lagging behind in sugarcane price payment and directed to pay the sugarcane price at an accelerated pace. The District Sugarcane Officer informed that the district's sugar mill Ganganauli owes Rs 119.54 crore, sugar mill Gagalhadi owes Rs 31.26 crore, sugar mill Todarpur owes Rs 21.39 crore and sugar mill Bidvi owes Rs 6.36 crore. On which the District Magistrate reprimanded the sugar mill representatives and directed them in strong words to make the payment. Sugar mills Ganganouli, Gagalhadi, Bidvi and Todarpur should ensure 100% payment within a week or else FIR proceedings will be initiated against the sugar mill owners. On this occasion, District Sugarcane Officer Sushil Kumar, Unit Head Sugar Mill Ganganouli Harvish Kumar Malik, Unit Head Sugar Mill Gagalhadi Dhanraj Singh, CGM Sugar Mill Bidvi Ashwani Singh, General Manager Sugar Mill Todarpur Bhanu Pratap Singh were present.
