Saharanpur, Saharanpur Congress MP Imran Masood said here today that no proposal for setting up a High Court Bench in Western Uttar Pradesh is under consideration of the Central Government. Imran Masood said in a special conversation with senior journalist Surendra Singhal that he had received the proposal on Friday, 20 December, in response to a question asked by him, Union Minister of State for Law and Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal said that it is necessary to get a proposal from Allahabad High Court for setting up a Bench and the consent of the State Government and the Governor is also necessary. Only in that condition will it be possible to set up a Bench of Allahabad High Court in Western Uttar Pradesh. Imran Masood said that he had asked this question in the Lok Sabha that it is very important to set up a High Court Bench in Western Uttar Pradesh for BSP and Sulabh Nyay and for a long time the people of Western Uttar Pradesh have been demanding this unitedly. He said that Allahabad is very far from Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Meerut, Ghaziabad etc. districts. The poor and the general public have to face a lot of trouble in going to Allahabad. In such a situation, the central government should establish a High Court bench in western Uttar Pradesh. After receiving the reply from the Union Justice Minister, Imran Masood demanded from Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath that he should take necessary action to establish the bench at his level. This will enable the people of western Uttar Pradesh to get justice easily and cheaply.
