(Chhattisgarh) Raipur, An important meeting on the ongoing operations against Naxalism in the Naxal-affected states of the country was held today at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi. The meeting was chaired by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, in which Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai and Chief Ministers of other Naxal-affected states participated.

The focus of this important meeting was the recently successfully completed anti-Naxal operation in Chhattisgarh, in which the state police killed 31 Naxalites. Special discussion was held on the efficient strategy of Chhattisgarh Police in this operation and the success of the state government's schemes. Health and Family Welfare Minister Shri JP Nadda, Union Minister of State for Home Shri Nityanand Rai and Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma were also present in the meeting.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah praised the efforts of Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai and his team in this operation. He said that from January this year till now, the security forces of Chhattisgarh have killed about 194 Naxalites in encounters. At the same time, 801 Naxalites were arrested and 742 Naxalites have surrendered. He said that even today the youth who are involved in Naxalism are requested to give up arms and join the mainstream. All the states have made better plans for your rehabilitation, take advantage of it.

Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai gave detailed information about the Naxal operation in the meeting. He told how the state police and intelligence agencies carried out this operation after months of hard work and planning. About 1000 soldiers were involved in the operation, who surrounded the Gawadi mountain located in a radius of 15 kilometers and killed 31 Naxalites. Many big Naxalite leaders were killed in this operation, out of which a total reward of 1 crore 30 lakh was declared on 16. 18 male and 13 female Naxalites were killed in the encounter.

Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai told in his presentation how the state police force carried out this operation on the basis of accurate intelligence information. In the meeting, the Chief Minister gave detailed information not only on the success of the operation but also on the development work going on in the state. He said that "The pace of development work has been increased in the Naxal-affected areas. We are constantly providing basic facilities to the villages, in which special attention is being given to education, health, and women empowerment." Mr. Sai said that under the constant guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, we broke the core of the Maoists. We have established 32 new camps in such areas, which they used to call their capital. We also set up a camp in the village of Hidma, the commander of his battalion, and also provided health facilities to his mother.

Information given about future plans and goals

Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai also discussed the future plans of the Chhattisgarh government. He said that the main goal of the state government is to eliminate the remaining strongholds of the Naxalites and ensure permanent peace and development in these areas. In the near future, 29 new security camps will be established in South Bastar, so that the influence of Naxalites can be eliminated. Union Home Minister said the Centre is committed to provide all possible assistance
Union Home Minister Amit Shah, while praising the successful operation in Chhattisgarh, urged the Chief Ministers of other states that they can also carry out operations in their states based on Chhattisgarh's intelligence technology and mutual coordination. The Home Minister also said that the Central Government is committed to provide all possible assistance to other Naxal-affected states including Chhattisgarh and will provide full support to accelerate development work in the state.
